Passive Income On The Internet Update

October was a busy month and I’m going to have to make some changes to my original plan.  I’ve accomplished all my content and link building goals for sites 1-3, added some content to site 4, but haven’t really worked on sites 5 and 6 like I wanted.  My earnings for the month added up to just $2 shy of $600, a good 67% increase.  Hopefully this upward trend will continue.

Whoever said that women are better at multitasking than men has clearly never met me.  I’m horribly, shockingly, appallingly bad at juggling more than 2 or 3 projects at once.  It’s probably because I’m an analytical person, but I need schema and processes in place before I can really concentrate on a project and get things done.  I can spend 10+ hours one day just doing A, then another day doing B, and another day doing C.  However if I have to do all three simultaneously, then it’s like my brain just implodes or something.

So I need to alter my plan. My revised plan is still the old plan.  It’s just more focused and rearranged into an assembly line system.  Yes, I really do get the most done when I stop thinking and just turn myself into a content generating machine.

To do this, I just take my kw list and do a search for the keyword on all the article sites, wikipedia, and free blog hosts.  Then I fire up Word, rewrite the first search result in my own words, insert page break, and repeat the process until I’ve gone through and gathered enough content.  At this point I don’t care about keywords or anything like that.  I tend to keyword stuff and produce awkward writing when I think and analyze too much.   All that really matters is the I’m making new content in my own words. Doing this kills two birds with one stone.  I learn about the niche and often discover new keywords in addition to generating tons of unique content for articles and support blog posts.

By the time I’ve gone through all the rewrites I’ll know enough about the niche to write some quality posts for my own site without having to stop and do any further research.  At this point the content just flies from my fingers. This is pretty much it for the content creation step.

Then I build links, starting with article submissions.  I match each rewrite to a long tail version of my target keyword and an article site and do some quick editing and keyword insertion.  All the articles are posted to each site at once so I don’t have to worry about logging in and out and switching between different interfaces.

These articles link back to the money site or other supporting sites and articles and I keep track of all this with Excel. Finally I blast the safer properties like EZA and hubpages with bookmarking demon just to give them a head start and hopefully indexed faster.

Generating Passive Income Websites

Sites 1 and 2 are still pulling in most of the earnings.  Both are bouncing around #8 and #9 for their main keyphrases so I’ve branched out to targeting other related keywords in the niche.  Site 3 returned from no mans land in the beginning of the month, and has settled at position 3 for “sparkly blue pens”.  Again, a long term project since “sparkly blue pens” has a SOC in the tens of thousands according to Micro Niche Finder and the top 2 spots belong to a 10 year old PR 5 site with lots of backlinks.  Site 3 only earns about $10 a day which isn’t much since “sparkly blue pens” isn’t a high paying keyword.  However the analytics for those days were more interesting.  Statcounter showed a lot of people looking for various forms of “pen rentals” which has a CPC that’s eight times the CPC for “sparkly blue pens” so I’m gonna keep working on this one in December.

There’s still a bunch of Ezine Articles that are awaiting approval and pages that aren’t even indexed yet so I’m going to give these sites a rest and see how things sort out after the dust has settled in December.  Will I reach my goal of a monthly passive income of $1000 with these three sites?

Internet Passive Income Plan For November

This month I will devote most of my time will be spent to site 6 as it has gotten a nice trickle of affiliate sales just through long tails.  There’s no backlinks at all to this site and only 4 product review landing pages and 3 articles.  It is a winter season product so I’ll have to get cracking and pump out tons of content.  There’s tons of products available at Amazon, Overstock, and various affiliate programs at ShareASale and cj for this niche.  So far site 6 shows potential for turning into a great affiliate site for earning recurring income online.

If I have time I’ll start work on site 4, but site 5 is just too competitive with very low CPCs so I’m going to let this one go when the domain expires later this month.

And now just because I can, here’s a gratuitous cute shoe picture below.
